History
The business that became SBEC first traded in 1980 when the partnership, Sree Balaji Engineers and Contractors, was established by practicing Civil Engineers to offer Civil Engineering and Building Construction services to customers throughout India. The businesses excellent reputation quickly gained the confidence of government organisations such as the National Highway Authority of India, the Central Public Works Dept., Central Railways and the State Public Works Depts. in Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharastra and got registered in those departments.
Business operations were further expanded by providing services to Government Undertakings such as Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Life Insurance Corporation of India, Rail India Technical and Economic Services Ltd., and National Aeronautics Ltd. and Private Business Houses such as Coromandel Paints, Satyam Computer Services Ltd., Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, Birla Group, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, GMR among others.
To facilitate further growth, the business was restructured in 2005 with a share capital of Rs. 10 Crore, fully subsidized, and the firm was renamed as SBEC Projects Private Limited with its registered office in Hyderabad.
Future Growth
Nearing 40 years, SBEC has become a strong and highly competitive Civil Engineering and Infrastructure business house. It is equipped to undertake projects of any magnitude, and has completed a wide range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects and provides clients with excellent management skills and a fully trained and qualified staff, whose technical competence and experience amount to many 100's of man years. SBEC has a broad range of capital equipment and plant and all SBEC's activities, be they on a Turnkey, EPC, Design and Build, Main Contractor or Sub Contractor, are supported by the strength and security of a sound financial base.
SBEC specializes in all forms of civil works including Multi Storied Residential and Commercial complexes, IT parks, Educational Institutions, Hospitals, Public Buildings and Road Works. SBEC has also expertise in execution of recreation facilities like Auditorium, Sports complexes etc.,.
